If you are dropping a customer off and they ‘Make off without payment’ relax! Just let the office know and we will contact the customer to see why they have not paid. If we get no result we will BLOCK THEM and credit your sheet with the amount on your meter.

Please note: We do not accept or cover for any runners from supermarkets as we do not hold any information on these people and it is the drivers responsibility to profile each customer and ask for payment in advance if travelling out of area. A little tip is if your customer has no shopping in the boot, you have never seen them and they are going to Bramley… then you would charge first.

If you have a failed payment, Kindly explain to the customer the fare has been declined by the bank. Take them to a cash machine and charge them cash. If in the event they say they dont have their card or are late for work Central Cars have a recovery program set in place to re try all failed payments for up to 30 days so we will recover the amount either way. We do not want to play a game of cat and mouse. Our uniform policy is in place to bring a clean and professional image to the company in the eyes of the public.

We will say in advance there is not need to call and tell us you have no uniform available. Its not only dis-respective to the company whom is trying everything to make this company better but also to your self. Plan ahead and make sure you always look good.

Anyone who is caught not paying any attention to the dress code will be logged off until they have changed and no excuse such as, ” Its in the Wash” will be accepted.

We have put this on here to let you all know in advance, we expect the same amount or respect shown to the company as the company shows to you. Therefore before you get upset that you have been logged off just think… Was it worth losing out on 1 days takings.

The uniform consists of:

• White Shirt / Old Blue Central Shirts
• Dark Trousers / Black Jeans ( Not Stone wash Blue or Tracksuit bottoms)
• Central Coat
• Central Jumper (V neck Black)

We are aware that we have not provided all new drivers with coats however this weekend all drivers will be asked for their coat size and coats will be provided free of charge to all drivers.

We do recognize that this page only applies to a small number who do not follow the rules. A few concerns has come up about will this effect the Private Hire Industry and the answer is YES.

It is still early days and us and a numerous amount of company’s are working closely with Icabbi to try and find a solution that will safeguard the private hire industry. So in the meantime we advise you to be very vigilant when touching your PDA.

Some ideas we are working on implementing are;

• Voice Bidding
• Automatic Arrival / POB

We will keep all drivers posted on what we can do to ensure this does not effect our industry but you as the driver are the one solely responsible for ensuring you are upholding the law.

2. Part Time ( Thursday – Friday – Saturday – Sunday only)

There is no other structures available. Drivers who work Monday’s will be classed as full time as the part time rent only applies to

(THURSDAY-FRIDAY-SATURDAY-SUNDAY) Not a mixture of days.

If you have worked any days out of this structure you will be charged. So think in advance before you log on that you will have to pay extra.

All driver invoices are sent out to you on Friday mornings and the payment window is open from the time of receiving the invoice to no later than 2pm on Saturday afternoon. Failure to pay rent before this time will result in your driver platform being disabled until you have paid in the office or over the phone.

When you enter the office payments are taken through the counter. It does not have to be paid to any particular individual just who ever is processing payments will ask you for your driver number & tell you your outstanding balance. Once marked off you account will be reset back to £0.00 and your data will work as normal after 2 pm.

If you are not in work on Saturdays you may have to call the office to make a payment over the phone as our offices in Morley do close at 8 am Sunday mornings until 10 pm Sunday night.

Many drivers who are not that good at time keeping have started adding extra money into their account so they are always in credit. So for example Driver 99 Pays £80.00 into his account. So every week he is in Credit. If he does £100.00 of credit work the £8.00 remainder is taken out of his £80.00 taking his new balance to £72.00 Credit. (This is just a idea and not  mandatory)
